The Village at Providence Point gave an introductory presentation of its planned unit development application to The City of Annapolis's Planning Commission on Thursday evening, December 16. The presentation and public commentary will continue into the New Year, with the next virtual public hearing on Thursday, January 6, 2022 at 7 p.m.
Highlights included commentary from National Lutheran Communities & Services' Special Advisor and former President & CEO Larry Bradshaw, City of Annapolis's Chief of Current Planning Tom Smith, along with engineering expert Kevin Johnson, and citizen Gerald Winegrad (leader of Concerned Citizens for Proper Land Use). Several participants noted that this vision can serve as a model for how citizens and developers can collaborate to create an environmentally responsible project.
