America’s Sailing Capital

If you’ve come for the boats, you won’t be disappointed, as Annapolis hosts numerous sailing and boating events throughout the year. The Annapolis Spring Sailboat show, held annually in April, is the largest in-water boat show in the world.

The United States Naval Academy (USNA), established in 1845, is also synonymous with the city of Annapolis. From noon formations to football games held at the Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium, touring USNA is a top attraction for visitors.

Historic Charm

Voted one of the most beautiful towns in America by Conde Nast Traveler, visitors enjoy Annapolis’ waterfront beauty and colonial architecture. Walking tours traverse the paths once taken by Thomas Jefferson and George Washington around Maryland’s capital.

City Dock draws visitors and residents with unique boutiques, specialty shops, art galleries and pubs. Here you may also take a water tour or attend some of the city’s biggest events: the St. Patrick's Day Parade in March or the Military Bowl Parade in December. There are also spectacular fireworks shows each New Year’s Eve and Fourth of July and a Christmas boat parade held in early December.

Within 10 minutes of The Village at Providence Point, residents can enjoy all that Annapolis has to offer.

For the Love of Food and Fun

With more than 200 restaurants and some of the freshest seafood around, Annapolis also offers everything from classic American steaks to Indian, Thai, Japanese and French fare. Wine bars and craft brews in area pubs expand your choices. You may also enjoy a European-style outdoor dining experience at the weekly Dining Under the Stars each Wednesday all summer long or Annapolis’ unique Chocolate Binge Festival each December. When it comes to dining out, you’ll never run out of options.

Annapolis serves as a hub for world-class live music, theater, dance performances and art exhibits. From music venues such as Maryland Hall, Ram’s Head On-Stage and St. John’s College auditorium to five local theaters staging productions, Annapolis will delight and entertain you.
